PlainJaneMom knows what's fun. Or her kids do. Either way, she posted recently about the coolest of cool toys, the Bilibo.
Look at this thing! Part turtle head, part bowl, even die-hard
"everything must be made of wood or it's not a proper toy" mamas like
myself will want one.
And
I so do want one. Or maybe three
or four. One for each of us (except I'm not sure my butt's small
enough to fit inside it), because this is the type of toy that looks
like it will foster copycat-ism. Not that I need that in my
house, but when one child is spinning around in circles, it's a sure
bet the other two will want to as well. I can see the youngest
demanding to be pulled around in the thing, too, a rope strung through
the two handy holes, with him laughing maniacally the whole time.
I love the open-endedness of the thing, allowing for a kid's natural
creativity to burst forth. And, hey, it's made in Switzerland,
and everybody knows that all the cool, or at least weird, toys come
from Europe.
I can even get over the fact that it's plastic, and for me? That's saying a lot. Interested? Here's where to buy a Bilibo (and shh...they're on eBay too. And Amazon).
