Last night at George Will's house, a President-Elect Obama dined
with the crowned heads of conservatism. The guest list, according to The Daily Beast,
included William Kristol (Weekly Standard), David Brooks (New York
Times), Paul Gigot (Wall Street Journal), Larry Kudlow (CNBC's Kudlow
and Company), Rich Lowry (National Review), Michael Barone (FOX and US
News & World Report) and Charles Krauthammer of The Washington Post.
It's
beginning to look like Obama wasn't just a "liberal snob" (Michael
Barone) and a "platitude salesman" (Charles Krauthammer) afterall, but
rather, a man who genuinely wants to solve the deep divisions and
problems in his country by embracing his enemies.
