  There's unmedicated birth, and then there's unmedicated birth. It sparks much discussion, passionate arguments on all sides. • Not So Hot - Male Strip Tease Teach Suspended

  If you heard that a teacher did a strip tease in front of their class, you probably would think of a Van Halen-esque scene ("I got my pencil -- give me something to write on." Ah, the 80's.) At least that's what I would think of. But, once again, I would be wrong. An English teacher at the Sudbury Upper School in the U.K. was trying to get his students to calm down. They wouldn't, so he threatened to take his clothes off. The teacher is not, shall we say, in the best physical condition. • 2nd Oldest New Mom Feels Young, Looks Old

  For nearly two years, Adriana Iliescu was the oldest mom in the world. She gave birth to her daughter Eliza when she was 66 years old.  Her title was usurped by Spanish mom Carmela Bousada, who gave birth to twins just short of her 67th birthday.  But enough about records, how's life for the elderly mother of a three-year-old? • Pregcellent: Are Breastfeeding Extremists Endangering Babies?

  The Daily Mail has this typically hysterical and annoying headline for a recent story: "No, breast ISN'T always best for baby...whatever the extremists tell you". Ba ba buuuum. That's right, lactation consultants pose major threats to infant health and welfare! Talk about selling a story. But then the article goes on to cover the views of Clare Byam-Cook, a retired midwife who has helped loads of people (including Kate Winslet and Helena Bonham-Carter--celebrity nipple alert!) learn to breastfeed. And frankly, I think she has some good things to say. Byam-Cook says some midwives are so dogmatic that they simply push breastfeeding, meaning moms with problems... Read More... • Cyst Winds Up a Bouncing Bundle of Joy!

  There's a lot going on in this story so bear with. First, the wackiness: A 57-year-old woman in the U.K. who had been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst was rushed to the hospital after her doctor detected a hard abdominal mass during a routine physical examination. After techs performed an ultrasound, instead of yelling "OR" and "STAT!" they said, "Congratulations!" She was pregnant -- a full 30-weeks.     Read More...   If you follow this sort of thing, you know that older moms have been lambasted in the media lately because of the drop in fertility and the fact that they have a higher risk of birth defects and miscarriage, blah blah blah. There's been some members of the medical community and a couple of female columnists exhorting women to stop waiting so long to have kids, saying ladies should maybe settle for a less-than-great mate in order to spawn early and safely or risk being alone and childless. • Woman Comes Out of Coma and Discovers She's Given Birth

  Hmmm, what should we report on? The origins of the Christmas tree? How stores are hoping more of us buy crap? Nah, let's cover this evergreen story of a woman who came out of a coma, and found that she was a mom. Lisa Allison suffered a stroke brought on by preeclampsia, and barely pulled through. She was in a coma, partially paralyzed, and underwent extensive brain surgery. Once she woke up, she was presented with her son Benjamin. She has no recollection of having given birth.
