Now this was a fun day.
I've always been a bit of Muppet geek, and while the puppets on Disney's Johnny and the Sprites aren't the Jim Henson variety, the show is true to the spirit of old-school Sesame Street or Fraggle Rock. For Babble's Field Trip column, photographer Nicole and I got to spend a full day on the soundstage -- watching puppets being created, hanging around during filming, and exploring the gigantic fake forest that is the set. And talking to puppets! The puppeteers were more than happy to approach us in character, and these guys were hilarious. (It's funny; when puppets talk to you, you feel rude not looking them in the eye.) Check out our scrapbook of the day's events here.
