G.W. Bush tried to charm his way out of questions about the
difficulties of his presidency--you know, little things like two wars
and acatastrophic hurricane--by chuckling "we had fun!"
We suppose we're glad someone did. But now who's going to clean up after the frat party?*
Speaking of President-Elect Obama, yesterday It Was Revealed that he will close the Guantanamo Bay detention center on his first full day in office. May we suggest he send Dick Cheney to mop up and turn out the lights?
Obama has managed to sweep up a little pre-inaugural mess of his own. Rumor has it that his persuasion has eased the path of Roland Burris to Obama's empty senate seat after all, dirty Blagojevich appointment or no. Now people can settle down and forget about that little glitch. Right?
