When we think of "charity", often it's with a distance that belies
the humanity of what is truly going on. And, if you stop and think
about it, there are a zillion reasons, a zillion opportunities, for
helping someone out who's in need.
Last week it rained and rained
in western Washington state and Oregon, and just as with the California
fires in October and Hurricane Katrina two years ago and countless
events worldwide in between, there are people there who are hurting and
in need.
There are many ways to help: the
Salvation Army, the
Red Cross.
But want to give to someone who is passing along 100% of donations
directly to Washington flood victims, and is herself a mom who's
helping other families by ripping down walls and hauling out sodden
belongings, now trash?
