  • Just Say No

    Allegedly, the word that toddlers hear up to 400 times a day is "no." Like so many words, "no" loses its power the more you say it, even if you mean it each and every time. But toddlers have a way of pushing boundaries and getting themselves into all sorts of situations that require a "no." What can you say instead?

    And, um, "hell no" isn't one of the options. I checked.

  • Geek of the Week: Jedi Ginsu

    yodaUm, have I been unduly influenced by my kids' Star Wars obsession? I think that would be a huge yes. After all, when one has Jedi training going on the livingroom at any hour of the day, there is likely to be influence. 

    Yep, this is what I've been waiting for. Safe for kids, too! My knives definitely need sharpening, and everyone knows that a dull knfe is more dangerous than a sharp one (sort of). Maybe with one of these I could get my pint-sized Jedis to cook dinner once in awhile?
