Are female celebrities really that much more hateful than their male counterparts? The
answer is yes, according to a recent survey
that revealed that the British public disproportionately reserves their
celeb wrath for women. The top five most loved celebrities were
men—Paul McCartney,
Lewis Hamilton, Gary Lineker, Simon Cowell, and David Beckham—while
four of the
top five most hated were women—Heather Mills, Amy Winehouse, Victoria
Beckham,
and Kerry Katona. It’s interesting to note that two of these
women—Winehouse
and Beckham—also topped at least one Worst Dressed list. Is it just her miniskirts that make Victoria
such an odious specimen while her husband deserves our adoration?
