Hard-partying model Kate Moss told British that when her
daughter Lila, now 4, was born, "I felt like, now I've got a partner in
crime...I'm never going to have to be on my own again."
True to fashion form, Kate describes her daughter as "a Mini-me"
when it comes to couture. "She comes in at bedtime and says, 'Mummy,
do you think this
is a good
look?' and then she has a fashion crisis. I
say, 'You will wear what I tell you,' but she says she's the adult of
the bedroom. Now we lay the clothes out before she goes to bed but then she goes, 'Mum, I need options.'" Perhaps now that Kate has her own clothing line (out May 1), she will.
While her reputation as a coke-snorting groupie may not be
traditionally motherly, Kate acknowledges that Lila's dad, publisher
Jefferson Hack, helps balance the little girl's life. Jefferson is
what Kate calls "a great dad – somehow that was Mother Nature's
intervention." Here's hoping that Mother Nature will have the time to
intervene again, before Kate marries her current fiance, Britain's
famously disgusting smack addict, Pete Dougherty. Little Lila deserves
better.
