Carl Honore wants you to chill out already.
The
London-based-by-way-of-Canada Honore, best known for his book "In
Praise of Slow" is promoting his second book on "hyper-parenting" due
out next week.
"Under Pressure: Rescuing Our Children From
the Culture of Hyper-Parenting" was inspired by his own experience at a
parent-teacher conference for his then seven-year-old son. His teacher
called his son a "gifted artist" and Honore was off, Googling special
art classes and anything else he could think of to nurture his son's
talents.
