I know many of you have been wondering, "Why doesn't Kelly post for Crafty?
I'm certain she is full of fun and easy projects the whole family can
enjoy." Well, I hate to burst your bubble with my knitting needle, but
I suck at crafts. I attribute my tendency to overglue things and get
bored with a project 30 seconds in to the fact that my mother is like,
the craftiest bitch ever. She's a great seamstress and has an amazing
artistic eye and all that, and I believe that it skips a generation. I
also have grown dependent on her crafting, and therefore never spread
my sparkly, made-from-panty-hose-and-coathanger wings because she does
it all for me. She made my daughter's costume this year. She
is--believe it or not--better at sewing than Mike.
So when a friend sent me this link for carving a pumpkin using a photo
and the computer and little saws and exacto knives and blah blah, I
thought, "I wonder if my mom will make this for me?"
