I covered a coma-birth story once before, and it had a nice ending with the mom coming out of the coma and ultimately getting to go home with her family. This one
is unfortunately much more tragic. Ronkeysha Thomas was out with
friends in Palm Beach County when her friends heard popping sounds,
like fireworks. Ronkeysha fell to the ground with a gunshot wound to
the head, and went into a coma. She was eight months pregnant at the
time.
