at the Derby, we read a lot of news stories and blogs and articles and
blah blah blah did my eyeball just fall out and land on my keyboard?
After the 400th piece on how you shouldn't let your kids play with
lighter fluid and how children are getting fat and stupid, you start to
get a little crazy. You sort of start to wish you were writing for the Onion
or something, coming up with your own sassy news stories. I guess that
explains the collective response when Matt sent out this actual news
story with the unfortunate headline: "Program to Fight Obesity in Kids Expands."
First
we tee hee-ed a bunch. Then we started crafting faux headlines. "How
Efforts to Stop Teenage Bulimia Have Been Tossed." And the counter to
the original headline, "How Efforts to Counteract Anorexia Have Been
Greatly Reduced." But you know, why stop at kids and weight?
