Around these parts, to say we're wearying of Winter would be a vast understatement. And yes I know it's technically Spring, but in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, every day is November, baby. Even though the days of everyone outside playing while we sit on the patio sipping wine and telling stories seem decades away, an article rounding up play equipment, gives hope to those of us in the Land of Endless Gray Rainy Days.
Outside play equipment seems like quite an industry these days. Costco has playsets starting at $3,000. Playhouses at PoshTots go as high as $30,000. I think one of the parents interviewed has a great approach. Instead of buying an outdoor fancy play set, one mom decided to withstand the desire to buy more stuff, and watched while her kids turned the tree stump in the yard into "the kitchen."
Whatever your preference, won't you just be THRILLED to be outside with the kids instead of trapped indoors in utter rainy-day hell? Or is it just me?
