When we were kids, "the talk" about how babies were made was
probably pretty simple. Man, woman, love each other very much, special
kind of hug, yadda yadda.
But it was always a more complex
world than that. More of us are facing the same kind of talk with our
kids that may involve two mommies, two daddies, petri dishes, sperm
donors, birth mothers, long plane flights to a foreign land and any
combination of the above.
Even those of us whose own
stories are pretty straightforward and mainstream want to make sure
we're inclusive of all the types of families our child may encounter.
