In Queens, New York, a family had the worst scare of their lives
followed by the relief of their lives. A one-year-old girl tumbled out
of a third-story window and crashed on to the landing leading to the
basement of her apartment building. Amazingly, the baby landed on two
large, soft rubber balls that had been left on the landing, which
reduced the impact enough to save her life.
