  The youth of today, well a whole lot of them are just plain lazy. American parents yell, nag and sometimes just kick their them to the curb when their grown children are sponging off them, doing absolutely nothing and just being totally and completely idle. • Don't Write Off Libraries Just Yet

  I may not be able to tell my kids that I walked five miles to school in the snow uphill both ways, but I have had the conversation I consider to be the 21st-century equivalent:  "We didn't have the internet when I was a kid!  If I wanted to find something out, I couldn't just look it up on the web, I had to go to the library!  That's right, my mother and I had to get in the car and drive there!  We didn't have this wealth of information right at our fingertips like you lucky bastards!" etc. etc.  But it turns out that the ubiquity of the internet hasn't kept today's kids away from public libraries.  In fact, a new study reports that young adults use libraries more than any other demographic.   Read More...
