I want one." align="right" border="0" height="220" hspace="4" width="258" />Science is amazing. But it hasn't done everything. Here are a few things that I think would make a parents life just a little bit easier. Some of these might be scientifically impossible, but I can dream, can't I?

1. Suncreen pill: Anyone who has ever attempted to slather a child with sun protectant knows how difficult this task can be. The aerosol spray helps a little bit, but it's not good for all kids and you can't use it on the face. Rather than the goopy mayonnaise-like smearing that we suffer through in the summer months (or, if you live in California, all year long), wouldn't it be nice to just pop a tablet and that's that?
2. Dinner/lunch pill: OK, I'm not a pill popper, but remember on The Jetsons when Judy would give Elroy his "Peanut Butter and Jelly capsule" before he left for school? How many times have you and your parenting partner had this argument: "You make the lunch." "I made the lunch last time. You make the lunch." "Do they really need lunch? I think they eat enough food at home." "MAKE THE DAMN LUNCH!" If you're a single parent, you don't even have someone to have this argument with; the lunch pill would be a huge help to you.
3. Robot cleaning machine: I have a Roomba, and it's a huge help. Especially with young children in the house who have a tendency to somehow get cheerios under the couch in places their little arms don't even reach. A Rosie-like (more Jetsons) cleaning machine would be awfully nice.
4. Teleportation: On Star Trek it was called a "transporter" but it's the same basic idea: convert your body into atoms and transport those atoms to another location and then re-form them. Sounds painful, but how often have you been late or almost late to pick the kid up from school/practice/a playdate, even though you left in plenty of time? Traffic, schmaffic, just teleport to wherever you need to go.
5. Jet pack: This one would just be fun. And probably less painful than teleportation.

image: this site

Read more:

20 Disturbing Baby Products

S&M Barbie

Man locks daughters in cage while he works

Savage stands by his stupid words

When playgrounds attack, the sequel
