Especially, ahem, if they breastfeed.

I gained 40 lbs. during my pregnancy, 10 lbs. more than the doctors "recommend" for a healthy pregnancy. Whatever. After I got over puking every five minutes, I was ready to eat whatever was set in front of me. And while breastfeeding? I honestly eat twice as much as I did before I got pregnant. And I currently weigh five pounds less than I did when I got pregnant. While I realize that plenty of women gain weight during pregnancy that they struggle to take off, I don't think this is always the norm. In fact, I would say that the majority of my mom friends weigh the same or less than they did when they first got pregnant.

All the people who talk the online shit about pregnancy weight gain do so without ever having experienced it. They just want everyone to get riled up and hit their sites.
