Most of us will cop to a few ill planned tussles under the sheets, but will anyone admit their pregnancy was unplanned

re: Admitting a Pregnancy Wasn't Planned

I have the opposite situation. Everyone thinks my first child was unplanned (I guess the quickie elopement gave them that idea), but in fact she was planned. We didn't think we'd get it right on the first try and were in the process of planning the wedding when bam, it happened. It was easier to let people think I was marrying due to an unplanned pregnancy than explain to them that I was engaged to someone I had known for 3 weeks.

I think that's the big qualifier.

My 2nd was planned, we thought we weren't pregnant then decided it would be better to wait then found out we WERE pregnant. A planned unplanned baby.

Everybody knows that but anyway, I am glad that a lot of methods of birth control are now available. I really don't know what to say about this. Whether it is planned or unplanned, the most important thing is to take responsibility to your actions. :)

Whenever I mention that she was unplanned, people get all weird and nervous. I think the idea that unplanned pregnancies only happen to stupid girls is still very much alive.
