&lt;p&gt;We aren't 100% vegetarian yet, as we still eat meat when we order a pizza (rarer now, but still an occaisional treat with bacon or pepperoni) or eat at other people's houses. At home, though, beans, a smattering of soy products and a smarter use of grains have replaced our meat consumption with leaner, cheaper, healthier options.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The bonus: we eat food that is healthier and more interesting than ever before!&lt;/p&gt;
