I have boys and they love JLA. That said, I have a friend that collects Barbies and goes to church and I will probably buy it for her.

Secondly, was it an episode of "Robot Chicken" with the skit about a guy doll on a dating show with a Barbie doll and a Bratz doll...Funny stuff!

Do only men enjoy non-vanilla activities?

My daughter doesn't like dolls, so I don't have to make a decision, but I don't understand what the problem with a Black Canary Barbie is. If you're okay with Barbies and with the fact that comic book heroines are usually scantily-clad, given the main audience for comics, is there any problem with this?

If people want to raise a ruckus about sexy dolls for kids, they should perhaps focus on Bratz, which, so far as I can tell, are just little hookers who have no identities nor worth beyond what's between their legs. That's a bigger problem, IMO, because instead of Barbie's rather holistic tartiness - that is, she's sexy AND a lawyer, just like real women are - Bratz are just male porn fantasies given to children.
