I think she should be in jail as long as the time she had each of the kids - so, with 19 years for each (from the times listed in the news article), that's a good start. And the whole time she should be treated the same way they were treated.

It is even more sad that people are given money to adopt special needs kids. Because otherwise not many people will take a chance on them. Every child deserves a home. Aren't there are few more of us out here who believe this and want to raise these children as though they had been born to us? When I hear of all the money and time people go through to have a biological child or hire a rent-a-womb I think of children like the ones unfortunate enough to wind up with that lady. The kids not good enough for the IVF set.

"Nearly 11 years in prison" is way too short of a time in jail for this disgusting worthless excuse for a human being.

@Maeby: I agree. It's one of the weirder statements I've ever read in a news article. My guess was that they don't know what the cause of death was, but that's just a guess.
