He didn't say "in utero". Neither did he say "in the womb". He didn't even say "in his mummy". This dumbo has just said "in mummy". Ingo, my darling, haven't you realised that the reporter is somewhat older than 3 years of age?

We called our little boy all sorts of things in utero, including Peanut. My favorite was Kicky McGee (He was very wiggly. When I did kick counts, I was usually well into the 20's after only 10 minutes.).

Of course we would never have actually named him that. Now that he's out, we have tons of nicknames for him, like Short Man, Nugget, and Biscuit.

I called my baby 'Zygote' because as the author of this post said, it's pretty awkward calling it a baby when its only a few weeks old and is still just a clump of cells. She's a week old now and I still call her Zygote accidentally.

We also called our fetus "Bean" and I seriously considered naming her "Favia" or "Fabia", which is Italian for bean. Luckily, my husband over-ruled me. And we nicknamed her "Kitten" at birth, which suited her far more than "Bean".

Peanut is ridiculous.

Our fetus was "Roni," as in Rice-a-Roni. When we first found out we were pregnant at 5 weeks, one of those annoying websites said the baby was the size of a grain of rice. To keep it under wraps, we referred to the pregnancy as "Project Rice-a-Roni," and the name really stuck. We even seriously considered using "Roni" as a middle name, regardless of gender. But when our son was born, it didn't seem to fit anymore, and he has two (somewhat) commonplace names.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant. We current call ours Bean (or Tapeworm, depending on how sick I'm feeling), and hell woud freeze over before I would put that on a birth certificate. Why don't these idiots think of their children's futures? Peanut is an adorable nickname, but that's what it should stay: a nickname.
