i have pics of my baby looking like that.. and she was only two weeks old. its gas.

Both of my girls did the same thing, and earlier than 3 weeks. I have pictures and video tape of both. It's not a "Hi Mommy!" smile, it's just an involuntary action, like startling or nursing in their sleep.

Newborns "smile" in their sleep. It's not a social smile, it's some type of involuntary movement. I have a picture of my son when he was 2 weeks old that looks exactly like that. It is not Photoshop.

i was wondering the same thing when i saw the photos. Maybe she was trying to get the attention of the parents that were only looking at the OTHER baby.
