Considering that Phelps himself eats a few thousand more calories than your average person and breaks Olympic records, perhaps this might be an indication that not exercising is more of a problem health-wise than eating some sugary cereal every now and then?

Ok... it's not like the guy is endorsing coco puffs or cookie crisp. These are corn flakes with a little sugar on them. I second mom2two... healthy habits are up to me to teach. And a bowl of frosted flakes in the morning is not a bad breakfast... all in moderation.

Hey, Michael doesn't eat the most animistically pure of diets, either - the man likes his fried food! So more power to him for endorsing something he might actually eat!

And, actually, I might buy it for the picture, myself. ;)

It's not up to Michael Phelps to teach my kids about healthy eating, it's up to me. Interesting how the critics always expect others to conform to their idea of what makes a good role model.
