I think that it is rude to say that it is inconsiderate and gross what Misty May-Treanor did. I find it senimental and sweet. Look at it in her point of view, she lost her mother. It was something her mother and her had in common that was important to them both. It was also only a smal portion of her remains. So I'm sorry, but you should have some respect for her.

A variety of cultures find the remains of dead people to be taboo. Even if all olympic matches were finished (were the men done and did they play on the same court?) I find it hard to believe that that the court would be left inviolate, never to touched by humans again.

It's actually kind of gross, inconsiderate, and culturally insensitive.
