I don't think there is anybody who would be able to juggle a crazy campaigning schedule, and still be able to give their children as much attention as they probably would like. I think a lot of candidates probably think their sacrifices are going to pay off in the long run, or that they are working for the greater good. And that's fine when the kids are old enough to understand that, or at least old enough to say goodnight to over the phone. I would be leery of any candidate, male or female, who would run for an office like president or vice president with an infant at home. Its such a short period of time, and so key to a child's future development. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When Sararh Palin had her baby a few months ago, she made a huge deal to the local press that she was back at work the very next day. The McCain campaign is trying to paint her as pro-family, based solely on the fact that she didn't abort, but that doesn't sound very pro-family to me.&lt;/p&gt;
