If only this site was representing a true poll, it would be a landslide victory for Obama-Biden. I loved Sara's breakdown above and these are friends and family's reason for voting Obama this year. We want good positive change. Gobama!

To the few responders (women) voting for McCain/Palin - you can't be serious. Palin is not for women's rights - she maybe a women but also likes to be an insider. All the "reform" issues are just more of the same "good old boy" network. No she's for big business and her own personal gain like most Republicans not "we the people".

Obama's not my first choice but he's getting my vote as I certainly don't want McSame and the religious right in the White House!

Obama for me. As I said after his keynote address in 2004, "That man WILL be the first black president." Hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I know, but after listening to the RNC crowd roaring with derisive laughter at Obama's community service record, and after hearing Palin's *repeated* scornful and belittling comments regarding community service work, I think that the McCain/Palin ticket and the voters who support them have relinquished the high road on this particular subject.

undecided, and a little bit annoyed.

undecided because each candidate represents part of what i am about, but neither does it all. still making the lists, but so far it's pretty even. in the end, it'll come down to what i think the candidates can actually get done and which issues are the most important to me.

annoyed because both conventions were kind of ... ugh. like pep rallies?

the comment about babble being so far left that it'd fall over...funny stuff. i consider babble my window into the lefty world, not knowing anyone with more of a liberal slant than you guys =P

Meg, just b/c someone doesn't vote for Obama doesn't mean they have contempt for community organizers. The vast majority of people - Republicans, Democrats - do actually think for themselves and don't personally subscribe to every word anyone else says.

I don't have contempt for community organizers and the essential work they do for people who fall through the cracks of our society, so I'm gonna have to go with Obama.
