It looks like the company will be forced to compensate the parents rather heavily, and several people are already facing prosecution. Knowing this country, I'd say that at the very least, someone is going to go to jail for a long long time. The tainted formula has definitely been pulled from the market here already. </p> <p>That said, this was a cheap-o brand even among Chinese brands, and most families who formula feed here seem to choose the heavily-pushed international brands from the USA, Europe, and Australia -- if they can afford them. Which means the poor here in China are the likely victims of this tainted formula.
