The 19 year old Boy Genius is definitely disturbed. (That's the nice way to say it.) I just thought it was odd that if someone has a self-described "deadly allergy" that there was no reaction at all. Food for thought. (No pun intended.)

In some states "unwanted touching" (and I think smearing someone with peanut butter qualifies) is battery and illegal. Arrest that kid!

Allergies can get worse the more you are exposed. So, KK, I would imagine that at some point your swelling and labored breathing will worsen. I started with a swollen itchy lip and the more exposure I had to my allergen, the worse the reaction. Now I carry an epipen!

I guess the point is the kid did it, knowing (correctly or incorrectly) that it could cause serious harm to a student. To say the kid didn't have a reaction to dismiss it would be kind of like saying he fired a gun at him, but the bullet missed, so no harm, no foul.

my son (18 months) has a high allergy to peanuts - he's never eaten any, but his skin reacts to peanut butter. That said, I don't know if some people are not dermatologically sensitive but would react violently if peanuts were ingested...

I am allergic to walnuts, I have eaten them, never been particularly close to dying, but my tounge swells and breathing becomes labored... When I touch walnuts my hands become red and itchy... so I imagine the "smeared" would have some sort of reaction, especially if his allergy is "deadly"
