She is more like "Joe Six-Pack" than the rest combined. The fact that her husband still works the oil fields is testament to that. A family of teachers, her sister and brother in law opening a service station. Little closer to lunch bucket folks than anyone else on either ticket.

Weird that no credit card debt is a detractor. I don't have debt. I see that as responsible.

I think most politicians use the "I'm just like you" platform, but really none of them are. I don't hold that against them because it's part of the game and at the end I'm not going to vote for someone because they are just like me. It's also not going to stop me.

There's also many methods that can be used to determine just how much a candidate is like me. There's the financial example, like you gave. There's the consumption of actual six-packs, and the number of kids I have who play hockey, there's my religious leaders, my friends, past decisions that have been good, past decisions that have been bad, being on talk shows, playing instruments, eating at mcdonalds...

Chances are I have really, really little in common with a politician. I doubt anyone does.

They also get free healthcare for the whole family paid for by the state and you and I since her husband is part Native American. She also received about 25K in freebies last year including airline tickets for herself, her children and Todd, when he went on "fact finding" missions on her behalf. See he is the other governor. Those freebies were paid for by the Mining industry, the Oil industry and other lobby groups. They also are member of a Union, thanks to the Democrats for Unions, and haev pensions for retirement. In fact, Todd Palin is already retired and draws 50-100K per year from his pension. They own a lake front home and a fishing boat. Sounds just like us,eh?
