(In case anyone out there was still wondering, I'm a lesbian.) To celebrate, the Supreme Court of the state of Connecticut has decided to let same-sex couples marry. What's particularly interesting about this ruling

re: Goin' to Connecticut, Gonna Get Married

Hooray for members of the Alternatives to Marriage Project! I just love that people from so many different perspectives and marital statuses can agree that our health care, taxes etc. shouldn't depend on having a government certified relationship.

Happy coming out day! I'm a bisexual woman married to a straight man, and pleased to be a member of the Alternatives to Marriage Project. Legal marriage happened to be available to us and suit our needs (the need for a huge awesome party was only somewhat connected) but I don't think it's really the government's business how my family is set up.
