Okay, I know this is a hot button issue to begin with, but I think both side are a little oversensitive. A woman's "health" (sic) and a woman's life are two entirely different things. When legislative wording is too vague, doctors are given the go ahead to consider common results of childbirth or minor discomforts as detrimental to a woman's health. For example: urinary incontinence, flatulence, heartburn, postpartum weight etc. I'm no doctor, but last I checked, those usually don't call for "your baby or your life" decisions. Those are hard decisions for true health concerns and should not be legislated. However, the thinly veiled excuses that are considered "health" issues I believe deserve air quotes.

I love Julie!! (The author of the blog alittlepregnant.com). If anyone knows their stuff, it's her and many of the women from ivfconnections.com. Don't mess with them... (and I'm one too)... and the reproductive rights of women. Just don't!!

Fwiw, unless you've walked in those painful shoes, you really shouldn't have a vote. I'm just saying.
