So, with his $5000. credit, that sounds great, but the REALITY is that a family policy costs far more than that. We are currently paying almost $1000.00 per month out of pocket for a family plan. The premium goes up every year. We are renters, therefore, our itemizations aren't great enough to write these expenditures off. We take the standard deduction every year! $5000.00 is not incentive enough for me! A total joke! And an insult in that McCain thinks he knows what we are going through!

This is what makes me nervous. If we got insurance through my husband, it would cost $600-$700/month just for me and my daughter. My employer (a non-profit) pays all of my insurance and half of my daughter's. If my org was taxed on that, though, it would be the first thing to get dropped. And 5k/year would be a joke. These politicians are so out of touch with reality.
