I never got on the Oprah bandwagon myself, but that world leader scenario is pretty funny:)

@Larissa, I didn't think that they're only bringing up Oprah because she's black. I think she's a logical, light-hearted choice because of her unabashed support of the Obamas and her ability to woo the masses.

I am suspicious of the "well placed sources" the writer mentions. This sounds like a bunch of hooey. But I seem to be in the minority of the global population - I think Oprah is just fine for a daytime talk show hostess but really not fit for much else.

Shall we drum up other names of famous African-Americans to toss for other possible cabinet posts? Gimme a break. I find that line of discussion tiresome and racist.

I love Oprah and think she's the mother of us all. I'm not sure if she's politically qualified in any way, but I think she's fabulous.
