I have loved halloween and costumes since childhood. I'm the crazy house with all the lights.

I put together my own costumes as a kid. Now I'm really lucky to have a very talented MIL who makes matching costumes for me and my son(although sometimes just his, and I figure out my own).

Honestly, being secular Jewish, I think I'm just suffering from Christmas decoration envy!

i was gonna be the sunmaid raisin girl but i couldnt find the big red bonnet. sad. last year i was the morton salt girl, next year its clabber girl!

I find the whole Halloween for adults thing annoying -- why are grown men and women traipsing around in stupid (and usually slutty) regalia? It's a waste of time and a ridiculous and wasteful marketing scheme perpetrated by the RiteAids and drugstore conglomerates of the world.

Oh yeah, and I hate crappy supermarket candy.

We are all going to be pirates this year. I think it's fun. I had to get creative to make my costume, though. They don't sell costumes for adult women that aren't bedroom wear.

My kids want me to dress up but sometimes I feel it is just one step away from those sweaters with the holiday appliques on them.

I will be a wtich this year at the request of my children. Otherwise the costumes are all too trashy these days. Sexy Ragdoll? 70's Afroqueen? Gimme a break.

I always say that I'm going to dress up, but I never do. It's been at least a decade for me. Maybe one of these days I'll gather enough enthusiasm to try.
