She could have done what McCain did. She could have demanded that the audience show respect. That she respects Obama as an opponent and that they remain respectful as well. It should not be ignored.

What are you even TALKING about? You're either beyond naive or totally stupid. When did Obama state that he was implementing socialism? Do you live in fantasy land?

I work for a non-profit. My organization is small and if they are taxed on health insurance, we won't be getting any. Do you know how much insurance COSTS??

And do some research, for all our sakes, before you start praising trickle-down economics. Historically, it hasn't worked so well. But I guess that's in line with the McCain agenda...if it's broken, don't fix it!

BTW, the quote you referenced above is inaccurate and taken out of context, the actual text is:

Workingmama- How much do you think are you going to have to pay with socialized medicine? Do you think it is free? It is coming from somewhere...and that somewhere is the RICH, and just to let you know, the rich give jobs and when the rich are so over taxed, who is going to pay wages?

It sounded like the n-word to me, but it didn't seem to me that Palin heard it. She didn't pause or react--she was in the middle of a sentence.

If she had heard it, I think she'd have an ethical obligation to say something, as an authority figure and as a human being, but it really doesn't look like she did hear it.

She DOES have the responsibiity here. She has failed to call people out on their hateful remarks about her opponent at her rallies (there have been several noted, two requiring investigation by the Secret Service). What would it take to make a disclaimer during one of her speeches that she is about running a respectful campaign and doesn't support hate? Whether or not she hears the statemnts at the moment is irrelevant. They are well documented and recorded. They do happen, and she can't deny that. And by turning a blind eye ("I didn't say it"), she is, in fact, condoning it.

It was "redistributor". Not that it matters because the Palin mob have said plenty of hateful things at other rallies. Forwarding this story is no different than the McCainiacs going into a feeding frenzy with "backwards B" chick. It's the same damn thing.

Michelle Malkin is by no means the only person telling the truth about this non-incident. I believe even the daily kos said this was baloney. You'll have to find something else to whine about.

If this were an isolated incident at one of her rallies, I might give them the benefit of the doubt. I don't even have to insist that this word was, in fact, the "n" word. The fact that unacceptable utterances of "terrorist!", "kill him", and others at other Palin/McCain rallies do not make this particular incident as noteworthy. Sadly, by not calling out these disgusting utterances, the campaign has implicitly condoned this type of behavior.

While it wouldn't surprise me at all to hear someone yell the n word at a Palin rally, I have to say that having listened to the slowed-down audio version on Michelle Malkin's site (via your link) I think it's quite possible that the person was actually saying "redistributor."
