I'm at 25 weeks and just got massively, blatantly hit on by a stranger in Au Bon Pain. Couldn't decide whether to be flattered or freaked out. I mean, yes, it's nice that even though I feel fat someone still finds me attractive... but come ON. I can see ignoring someone's wedding ring, but their baby bump too? Isn't that a pretty good sign that I'm not interested?

I was nine months when I got with my now husband we had new each other for years but never dated I had moved away and when I was left by the father I moved back to stay with my mom and we caught up with each other and we started dateing on the 1st date we went on he ended up takeing me to the hospital cause I was in labor. Now we have been together for 5 years so yeah I do belive some men are.

I am getting way more men catcalling me and whistling than I normally do in my non-pregnant state. I figured it was possibly that they are attracted because you were worth impregnating (genetically speaking) so their biology may kick in saying: "ooh look there's a good one!"

As someone who used to work as a professional dominatrix, I'm not the least bit surprised some men have a fetish for pregnant women. There's a fetish for just about anything you can think of -- from pantyhose to diapers, from armpits to feet, from hairy women to tattooed ones. I just think of it as evidence as the huge range of sexual expression in humans.

I prefer not to try to posit any particular reason for a particular fetish (e.g., he must have a breast fetish because he was breastfed too long), because I think that tends to pathologize them. Still, there's no doubt that things are seen as taboo by most people have a lot of sexual charge for many, many people. Several cases in point: people who like to dress up as infants or naughty schoolgirls or who even like to be spit or peed on.

Sleeping with a woman who is pregnant by another man is clearly something that's considered taboo by most, so I think it gives it that extra charge.

I am 36 weeks pregnant and men still look at me the way they did before I got knocked up. My husband loves when I get attention but sometimes you see the creepy lurkers (there was one in the grocery store the other day, complete with pedo-moustache) who will stare at your belly in an uncomfortable way. I feel more beautiful in pregnancy as well....very powerful. Yaay for sexy mamas!
