As Madeline reported over in Morning News, some members of the McCampaign is seemingly saying that Sarah Palin is to blame for John McCain not being elected President of the United States. Even you think that's going too

re: They Say: Sarah Palin Knows Nothing

Preach it, Campbell Brown! http://tinyurl.com/62yxpy

McCain's speech was perfect. I think a lot of the McCampaign staff did a really lousy job. I'm glad they did, but it's still surprising to see it play out. Were these the best people they could find?

Sarah Palin was their Hail Mary Pass and it didn't work. I think the whining that we are hearing now is a result of GOP members who knew that picking her was a mistake and couldn't do anything about it. They are understandably bummed that they didn't win. It will blow over soon...the economy is taking center stage (as it should).

I do think the woman was utterly unqualified, but like Campbell Brown said on CNN, you (the McCain people) picked her! You presented her as the most competent person to do this job! You were supposed to know who she was, and everyone can reasonably expect that being nominated on the ticket wouldn't suddenly make her more knowledgeable or articulate.

I thought McCain took the high road during his concession speech and that it was good of him to leave a positive last impression, but this sudden ugly bashing is talking it all away.

McCain and his campaign have no one to blame but themselves for their thumping at the polls.

The bigger issue is how the Republican party USED this woman. I'm no fan of Sarah's but to blame her for McCain's failure by characterizing her as a "diva", "a know-nothing" or a "shop-a-holic" - isn't THAT sexist!!!

You can put lipstick on The Republican Party, but it's still full of (male chauvinist) pigs.
