Now that she isn't running for anything, she's doing interviews left and right (that's not a political reference, by the way). One thing that stuck out about the Lauer interview was that she never took any of the blame for losing. According to her, it was everyone's fault but hers, and if she could just say, "Maybe there were things we (McCain and Palin) could have done differently..." I would respect her a whole lot more.

It's apparent Mrs.Palin has done some hard work after so many faux pass but there is no depth. Her bullet fast replies to the medias questions can only be described as nothing less than a small child being pulled by a 130-pound Rotwiler puppy at dinner time and the American public is the small child. In our slide from hard news reporting to entertainment based, sound byte news, I believe the American public has a hard time keeping up. However, when Tina Fey does Palin, it's with emphasis to communicate as opposed to the fast talking Palin, delivering what appears to be crisp, confident and intelligent thinking but is not.

For instance, when Palin said she had two speeches in her pocket written with the help of McCain staffers, one if they won and one if they didn't, an inexperienced, and poor manager was revealed. Though surprised at the outcome of her being shutout, on the stage at the concession, it doesn't take a lot to figure out that if they won she most definitely would have been asked to speak but in a loss, probably not.

That said, any manager knows the easiest way to get a difficult person to buckle down and work with speechwriters is to say, "hey, let's get that acceptance speech written baby (!) and Oh, by the way, in the event we don't win let's put a concession speech down as a just in case."

Palin's star quality has blinded 52 million Americans to the truth of what she's truly saying, what she stands for and her readiness to be a heartbeat away from the most important job on earth.

Thank you,

I can understand that - I bet all the candidates felt annoyed at some point - but she was running for *Vice President of the United States of America*! It was HER job to come across as unflappable, competent, and willing to answer every question in a way that earned the confidence of the American public. I just don't see how "I was annoyed at those stupid questions" is a defense that will play well when she inevitably runs in 2012 - being President involves, I would guess, a lot of very annoying and frustrating scenarios - how would she handle them if she can't handle Katie freakin' Couric?

ARE you kidding me???? Is that a real question????? DOES THAT SOUND FAMILIAR??? Joe Biden was clearly unhappy with some of his interviewers, so much so that the Obama campaign bannished that t.v. station from any more interviews! Give me a break here!

She is not the monster she (herself, created) by virtue of not thinking clearly about what she was uttering in some of those rallies, but neither is she a darling. She can cry foul and complain that media are "jerks" or mean spirited, but some of the tactics employed by McPain didn't bode well for a lot of Americans, that need, and want, change. I blame them both for the breakdown of the campaign. He looked desperate, she looked like she just "was trying out for Miss V.P, America"
