I can't help wondering if the study might have been clouded by the difference in use of shotgun pellets for game birds where a single bird may have wide spread lead units, and rifle slugs for large game where one slug or two brings them down, and they are big enough that no one is going to digest them. After all, Sarah Palin eats lead killed moose all the time and it hasn't had a bad effect on her, has it?

If it's not an issue, why do the pantries throw it out? Couldn't they feed it to non-pregnant folks and adults? It seems like a shame to waste food when people are hungry!
