@ Mary: you might be right. I'm not completely convinced of that, since so many celebrities kids are not featured in the various celeb mags and web sites. But they might be in another category. Still, never underestimate the publicist.

Even though I think Tom Cruise is a complete wacko, I wonder if it's maybe not fair to blame him for Suri's overexposure. Remember when they kept her under wraps as a baby? The tabloids all suggested she was some sort of alien, or didn't exist, or wasn't Tom's child. T and K are damned if they do, damned if they don't -- Suri is going to be in the tabs whether she's out in public all the time or not.

Ok does she always look that sad or do they just release the photos of her looking sad/lost/lonely so we think she is sad/lost/lonely. I have never seen a not serious picture of her.

That was another point I meant to include - what's the likelihood that these kids grow up with anything other than a very warped view of the world? Of course, their world is very different from the one we all live in, so maybe it doesn't matter. But there are celebrities with children that you never hear much about. Tom Cruise's kids with Nicole Kidman, for example.

She's absolutely adorable, but you have to wonder what the effect of this level of fame is going to be, especially since it isn't a result of anything that she does but simply because of who her parents are. It's a shame Tom and Katie aren't shielding her from the madness and allowing her to have a semi-normal childhood.
