I met the two on the set of the Bernie Mac show where we were extras. The mom is a taker.

Did you read the followup story? She actually was taken in by someone in Beverly Hills and give a job, 2 years ago for a month and then left because the 4-hour-a-day "job wasn't suited for her". You can see Destiny on the beginning promo for MADE on MTV. She is the one that says "I want to be taken seriously". They came to CA to pursue acting and Destiny never had a real home. They go from friends couch to couch only because the mother does not want to work. Read between the lines. THEY ARE LAZY.

With constant medical appointments, she would need to be up/down those stairs all the time. Too hard on both of them but surely something else could have been found based on that information?

It does say she couldn't handle the stairs. Meaning she couldn't climb them. I would hope she takes the next one that's on the ground floor. I would go to sleep at night and ONLY think of my daughter falling down a flight of stairs and wish we were in the car, ANYTHING to keep her healthy and not add more problems.

It says right above that she didn't take the housing with stairs because her daughter couldn't handle them. Given the choice between living in my car and carrying my teenage daughter up and down flights of stairs, I'm not sure what I'd do either. What a horrible situation.
