My husband has the habit of letting me know that we're out of something right before he needs said something.

When my husband went to Sam's with my MIL, I asked him to pick up diapers. He had no idea what kind we used - I had to tell him what color box and what size to get.

But, I really don't mind too much. I do nearly all of the household shopping anyway. (And we generally order diapers online.)

It seems a lot easier for him to do it on his way home alone than me with three kids. We usually plan ahead though when we're at the grocery store so it's usually covered.

He also knows their clothing and shoe sizes, how to bathe them, etc. I am the one who is home with them, and he goes to work. Still, he is very much interested in all of these details about his kids. The only thing he doesn't do is cook, so I do have to leave food and instructions for him if I'm going to be away.

The size typically is printed on the back in a large font. :)

He also needs my help to pack my son's overnight bag. He doesn't know where things are or exactly what my son needs. It's just something most guys are not very interested in, but women are very aware of and concerned about. Call it sexism, call it nature, but that's how it is.
