The water left behind in the carpet pad causes mold and mildew in turn producing spores that are breathed into the lungs.Toddlers and small children are closer to the source (the floor) explaining why the disease mostly affects them. Which makes more sense ?

My 3 year old son had this disease a year ago after we professionally had our carpets cleaned. Since, whenever I tell others and they know someone else who had it, they all had their carpets cleaned. It should be documented and published more. My little boy was rushed to Mayo in Rochester Minnesota and could've died. I am now still trying to find answers to my questions on his future and the disease. He has had flu symtoms 3 times this past month and I never know if he could get it again or if he could have other things wrong. Thanks for making others aware. Maybe more research will be given to this scary disease. Thanks again.
