I have the baby one too, and i used it on my daughters chest only. and it seemed to help her a little, and i know it didnt hurt her, so i dont see a problem with using it.

maeby, I think you can still use the baby version on the chest, as directed. We put it on our toddler's chest and neck when she has a cold- no idea if it helps but it helps me to think I'm trying to do something for her, and it doesn't hurt. I think this article is directed at the practice of putting Vicks under the nose (which my mom used to do to me and I always hated). The baby version does not burn like the adult version does.

my mom used to put it under my nose, on my chest and on my feet with socks. all of em. at the same time. i cried.

we bought the baby one but read about all this craziness before we started using it. guess we'll just throw it out.

We use the Baby version on the chest only. I have been known to put the regular version under my own nose, though. And when I was a kid my mom used to make us a drink with a little Vicks, butter, lime or lemon juice, and hot water...it was something my grandma used to do too. When I told my husband this he was totally horrified.

Um, I don't think it's an issue of it being "baby" Vicks, I think it's rubbing it under their nose. I wouldn't rub it under my own nose, much less my babies! I can only imagine how painful that must be. I put it on my kids back and I still feel bad about that.
