&lt;p&gt;It's also annoying that it's something that the kid wears...which inevitably he/she will outgrow and you'll have to buy another one in a larger size. Great. More stuff.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Whereas a nursing shawl is one size fits all. Forever.&lt;/p&gt;

However, I can't quite get the hang of the blanket thing. I've been breastfeeding for 10 months now, and I still feel like a bumbling fool whenever I attempt it. While the hat idea seems like a good one to a clutz such as myself, I wonder how long it would take a baby to yank it off and start waiving it like a flag.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I can see this being a better alternative for those situations when you'd want to cover up but don't want to smother the baby with a blanket (all summer long, actually). &amp;nbsp;But, the fact that the hat itself is so fugly, you might as well put up a big sign with an arrow that says &amp;quot;LOOK! &amp;nbsp;THE BABY IS SUCKING ON MY BOOB!&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
