My 2nd went from exclusively formula to lamb chops & veg in 3 days at nearly 11 months. She gave up formula completely at 11.5 months and was on 4 meals a day.

My first daughter was hungry all the time at 4.5 months, so matter how much she nursed, and anyone could see she desperately wanted some of this food she saw us eating. We started her with purees, and she loved them, and was on to solids at 6 months.

My second wasn't interested in anything but nursing until she was 6 months, but she couldn't have handled solids then--no teeth at all!
