Not many board games in our apartment. Pieces get lost and there is a lack of space. We have a handheld V-tech game and LeapPad. However, we have managed to fit a few in. Trouble is the absolute champion right now but Boggle junior is a close runner up.

This is such a timely post for me as we're off to see the cousins next week and I want to buy a game that they can all play together. Only problem is that the ages range from 2.5 - 8... Any suggestions? Or any suggestions for a game for ages 5-8 would work as well. Thanks Ladies!

We're big into Cranium games...

Bumperena is fun, and it's a pretty quick game if you don't have a lot of time.

Zigity is a fun card game that I've played with kids and adults, fast, fun, completely crazy!

Zooreka is another favourite - I was surprised by how much fun we've had with it.

Of course, we're also playing Life and Payday, along with many others - it has become the summer of the board game around here!

Fave's at our house are:

1- Rivers, Roads and Railways. It's a card game and you have to make matches and build a town. The cards lay out across the floor and offer lots of options. Sometimes hubby and I play without the kid after he's in bed. It's a lot of fun.

2-Trouble. A classic game that I loved as a kid and now my son loves it too.... There's always "trouble in the bubble..."

3- Zingo! Got it for Christmas and the boy loves it! Lots of pieces with the tiles, but thus far, easy to manage!

My fave games are Apples to Apples and Whoonu. They are both games that require the kid to be able to read and have some vocabulary skills.

We played Whoonu with my daughter Megs awhile back and she misread "trampoline" as "tampon". Hilarity ensued.
